missoni resort 17 To think as I got prepared to attend the FrontRow SS17 show I almost decided to wear a black dress and keep it as simple as possible . That was until my inner Diana Ross arriving at Studio 54 spoke to me…..

I wanted to bring that 1979 feel into 2016 with this Missoni Yellow Tiered Fringe Lamé Jacket from their Resort 17 collection. Yes this jacket is as magical as it looks. When I slipped this baby on my immediate reaction was to shimmy. I’m pretty sure you are all familiar with the infamous picture of Diana Ross at Studio 54 getting down. I lived that moment and threw in a little twirl lol.

Since I already had one foot out of the box, I took another full step forward. Pairing my Missoni jacket with a pair of Monique Lhuillier Metallic floral Jacquard pants from the F/W 16 collection. Ok… I know what you’re thinking. The jacket is such a statement piece why not choose something a lot more simple to pair? Typically I would say the same. The mixture of textures made the little Diana inside of me so happy . Something that would typically be a No for me quickly became a Yes.
