The slip dress is normally not the first thing that comes to mind when thinking “casual”… Until now

Though some styles may be a bit sexier than others, and tend to walk a fine line between dressy and casual. We would like to stay on the casual side of things and still be prepared for an unexpected evening invite for drinks, so we layer. Whether it be an overlay or underlay, using your slip dress as a layering piece will take your look from elegantly chic to casually cool. Some would like to call it “dressy casual” .

Some go-to pieces for layering would be a basic white tee, or a turtle neck of your choice. An oversized coat or jacket will add some edge to your look . If you are in a sporty mood, add a skippy like sneaker into the equation .
